This day took my breath away. The personal touches infused into every corner of Colleen and Jordan’s wedding warmed my soul.
Colleen’s grandmother wore Chanel perfume every day, the scent encapsulating her memory. On her wedding day, Colleen wore that same perfume as a way to have a piece of her memory present. A candle lit at the reception burned for her and all their loved ones who were present in memory.
Jordan has always left little love notes around the house for Colleen to find after time spent together (they’ve been in a long distance relationship for 6 years!!). Not only has Colleen kept them, but she had them turned into cocktail napkins!
Through all of the excitement and festivities of the weekend, it was absolutely apparent that the most rewarding part for these two was spending quality time with so many people they value in their lives. From the seating chart that included a photo of every single guest, to the individual coversations they shared with everyone, they had the most gracious, genuine hearts. We talked on the way to the lake what a blessing it is to have so many people, from so many different parts of their lives, together in one place….to celebrate them. I can’t think of anyone else who deserved this perfect weekend more.
Congratulations, Colleen and Jordan!!
